We Assist LLC ("We Assist," "we," "us," or "our") operates a community errand marketplace that connects customers who need help with errands and assistants who can complete them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using We Assist, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and password you provide when you register.
- Errand details: the description, pickup and drop-off locations, timing, notes, and order names you enter when posting or claiming an errand.
- Location data: your set location and, when you are completing an errand, your live GPS position to provide tracking and verify arrival.
- Payment information: payments are processed by our payment provider (Base44 Payments). We do not store your full card number.
- Usage data: device, browser, and interaction information collected automatically.
How we use your information
- To connect customers and assistants, display errands, and process payments.
- To provide live tracking and verify errand completion.
- To send you updates about your errands, payment links, and expiration notices.
- To moderate content, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To improve our services and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing your information
We share information necessary to operate the service: with the assistant or customer involved in your errand (such as pickup location and order name), with our payment processor to handle charges, and with service providers who help us run the platform. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. Errand records and receipts are retained so you can access your history.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can update your account details in the app, request deletion of your account, or contact us with privacy questions. Location sharing only occurs while an errand you accepted is in progress.
Children
We Assist is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note the updated date above when we do.
